"We return ... and our consistent practice becomes a dedication to self-care that over time brushes away doubt and discontent."
Family Yoga - Sat, September 20 at 2pm
Family Yoga at Center for Yoga is a playful all-levels class is designed for caregivers, friends, and kids of all ages with the aim to make yoga accessible to everyone. The goal is both to introduce the practice to kids and to offer caregivers a chance to practice without the need for childcare. This class is an opportunity to release physical tension and mental anxiety through breath and movement, while increasing strength, stamina, and flexibility - without the expectation of 60 uninterrupted minutes in a quiet room! The world is chaotic. Yoga offers a chance to practice finding steadiness anyway.
Family Yoga will continue through summer, but the schedule will vary.

Practice With Me

"I love that yoga is a journey. You don't have to wait until you're 'good at it' - the reward is right now, in every moment on the mat. I especially enjoy working with people who think that they can't do yoga or don't realize the depth of the practice beyond the poses. I love seeing that light come on when they understand that the look and feel of their practice is uniquely their own."
Heather’s open-hearted approach to the practice enhances the accessible and mindful experience she creates for her students, leaving them enjoying the elevated state that the practice of yoga provides.
"I love private sessions because your practice will always be tailored to honor your body and it's specific needs, whether you have an injury, are lacking energy, or feeling anxious. You never have to wonder if you're getting the alignment correct - and if you've got a question, just ask! It allows you to make the adjustment in the moment. Catching our patterns as they happen and having the opportunity to adjust reduces any risk of repetitive stress injuries and we form good habits that won't have to be unlearned."
Heather teaches group classes in person and online at Ma Yoga, and privately (either in person or online) by appointment. If you have any questions, or would like more information about private sessions, please click the button to reach out to Heather directly.
